Memo
New remote work policy
KEY MESSAGE: Use this section to communicate the reason for writing the memo.
Beginning Monday, January 16, all Acme Corp. employees around the world who are able to work remotely are encouraged to do so until further notice.
You can read the new policy in full in our 📖 Employee Handbook.
What you need to do
Do the reader(s) need to take any action? Summarize your requests using a bulleted list.
Here are the steps you need to take before Monday to ensure you are prepared to work remotely:
Set up your home office.
👉️ You can submit a request for any additional equipment you may need.
Sign up for our new remote collaboration tools.
Schedule virtual work sessions with your teams.
Empty the kitchen fridge.
Read through our list of remote work tips and resources.
For those whose jobs cannot be done remotely, business leads are working closely with HR partners and managers to support employees in those roles and will follow up directly. Please note that our offices will remain open for employees who need to continue working there, or to pick up their equipment or resources to work remotely.
Going forward
We will provide updates on the timeframe as we continue to evaluate trends and developments.
We have an opportunity to come out stronger and better as we learn new ways to dynamically navigate in this new work environment. I want to let you know how much I appreciate everyone’s efforts while COVID-19 continues to create uncertainty. Thank you for all you do!
